Building on more than 125 years of tradition in academic excellence and faith formation, the Academy of the Holy Names, Tampa, FL (www.holynamestpa.org), a Catholic school founded and sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, is seeking a President who will lead with vision, energy, and passion. The Academy enrolls 800 students in a coeducational PK-8 environment and an all-girls 9-12 college preparatory secondary school. The school’s location on scenic Bayshore Boulevard and its 19-acre campus provide an ideal setting for teaching and learning. The successful applicant will possess a passion for academic excellence and demonstrate proven experience in enhancing strong academic and faith formation programs, promoting a strong institutional advancement program, developing and implementing strategic plans, providing oversight of financial and facilities matters, and building productive and sustained relationships with all stakeholders. The next President must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to speak convincingly of the role of presidential leadership and its potential for positive impact on a Catholic school community such as the Academy of the Holy Names. An applicant must be a member of the Catholic faith, possess an advanced degree, and demonstrate a minimum of ten years of progressive experience in education, culminating in a significant role in educational leadership. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Position is available July 1, 2011.
