Saint Dominic Academy (www.stdominicacad.com) in Jersey City, New Jersey, a Catholic college preparatory secondary school for young women sponsored by the Sisters of Saint Dominic of Caldwell, New Jersey, seeks a visionary Head of School able to plan and implement a long-range strategy for the school and articulate the school’s vision and case for support to engage a higher level of alumnae, parent, and community involvement. Founded in 1878, Saint Dominic Academy is one of the oldest independent schools in New Jersey. It offers an excellent academic program, including an International Baccalaureate diploma, and enrolls 450 students in a school community rich in diversity. Applicants must be practicing members of the Roman Catholic faith, demonstrate successful secondary school administrative experience, and make evident a commitment to Catholic secondary education for young women. An advanced degree and experience in a diverse school community are strongly desired. The successful applicant will have proven success in strategic and operational planning and management, institutional advancement, and financial management. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
