Meet the Staff - Shirley A. Arnold

Shirley A. ArnoldShirley A. Arnold has been a high school guidance counselor and guidance department chair in a Catholic high school for over seventeen years. Shirley works with students from freshman through senior years in the capacity of personal, academic and college counseling. The guidance services provided by Shirley and her colleagues are intended to provide optimal “customer service” in the delivery of all aspects of counseling topics pertinent to a college-preparatory high school. Shirley’s role has included serving on various committees within and outside of her school setting. This experience offers Shirley the opportunity to glean information and ideas from a number of settings that expands her resource base to be shared with the participants and clients of Catholic School Management.

Prior to serving as guidance counselor, Shirley served as a classroom educator, family therapist, rehabilitation evaluator and counselor, crisis intervention counselor, and domestic relations mediator and therapist. Her diverse professional background affords her the experience to address many issues that are integral in her work setting, as well as, sharing insights with her peers in the consulting and instructional environment.

Shirley has earned dual Bachelor of Arts and Education Degrees in psychology and education and a Masters of Education degree with dual certification in Agency and School Counseling. Shirley is also a Licensed Professional Counselor. Additionally, Shirley’s professional affiliations include National Association of College Admission Counseling and Ohio Association for College Admission Counseling.
